2022 WHPS Summer Catalog

2022 Summer School Information

***Registration begins 2/7/2022***

Presentation of Curriculum

For the 2022 Summer Program, courses will be presented either in-person or through a virtual platform utilizing Google Classroom.  Please pay careful attention to the title of the course as this indicates if the course is in-person or virtual.

Throughout the program students should expect to engage in coursework through both synchronous and asynchronous activities.  Virtual classes will expect students to participate fully in the presented curriculum.  Teachers or virtual classes will also be available for regularly scheduled virtual office hours for added support.

Course Schedules

Classes will be offered during morning, afternoon, and evening sessions.  While students are able to take multiple courses each semester, they will only be allowed to take one course during each session time (morning, afternoon, and evening).

If you have any questions at this time, please feel free to email me at and I will be happy to assist you.

Take care and stay safe.

Timothy Kessler, Ed.D.

Coordinator of West Hartford Summer School Programs and

Principal of the WHPS Inter-district Summer High School

Collaborating Towns- Important Update:

The West Hartford Inter-district Summer High School is excited to welcome students from other districts to participate in both in-person and virtual classes. All courses follow West Hartford curricula documents and students will receive a West Hartford report at the conclusion of each semester.  Out of district students communicate with their home district to make sure that courses fulfill district requirements prior to the start of the program.  Out of district students will be set up with a WHPS email account so that they can engage in activities presented through individual teacher Google Classrooms.

Course Cancellation Policy

Specific courses may be modified or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Decisions on the cancellation of a course due to insufficient enrollment may be made up to 2 days prior to the start of the course, in which case a full refund would be provided inclusive of the registration fee.
